Alhamdulillah, Strategy of the Head of BP2MI on defending the rights of Indonesian Migran Workers, is proven

Jakarta - Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in the Domestic Sector, who work in Taiwan for individual employer, should be proud and grateful for the decision taken by the Head of BP2MI, Benny Rhamdani, who has announced the reopening of the placement of Indonesian migrant workers to Taiwan, which was conveyed in a press conference today (Wednesday, 7 July 2022) at the BP2MI Office, Jalan MT.Harjono-Jakarta.
BP2MI's decision was considered appropriate, after several meetings previously, through IETO-TETO Joint Task Force which was also attended by the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower, BP2MI filed a demand that the Taiwanese side increase the salary for PMI working on domestic sector, and removed the writing of Taiwan Agency Fee of NT60,000 from Placement Agreement Letter.
BP2MI's persistence in fighting for these 2 demands was finally agreed by the Taiwanese side in the last meeting through the IETO-TETO Joint Task Force with BP2MI which was also attended by the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower on June 21, 2022.
Domestic sector PMIs are finally able to enjoy salary increase which was initially only 17,000 NT to 20,000 NT or equivalent, PMI is expected to get an additional Rp.54,000,000 /3 years compared to PMI who is currently working in Taiwan.
Saiful, President Director of PT Nayaka Kalyana, who is also the General Chair of Aspataki welcomes the decision of the Head of BP2MI through Press conference and reading of the approval letter from the Head of BP2MI to Teto (7/7), so that the deployment of PMI for Domestic Sector to Taiwan will soon be able to proceed immediately, said Saiful.
According to Saiful, Benny Rhamdani's attitude is brave and deserves appreciation. His attitude not only showed his fight for PMI's right but also defended the nation's pride by showing his class in diplomacy with the Taiwanese side.
Alhamdulillah, finally placement of PMIs of domestic sector to Taiwan can return to normal soon like before, as many as 15,000 Taiwanese PMIs Domestic sector can breathe fresh air and realize their dream to immediately go to work to Taiwan with their chin held up high. Thanks to the Head of BP2MI for his hard efforts and struggles so that PMI for the Domestic sector can depart to Taiwan.
